This easy-peasy Poncho Sweater will keep you warm and looking good.

Sweater has a classic jewel neckline, very deep raglan sleeves and a relaxed Poncho silhouette.  Neckline bust darts give a smooth bulk-free fit; full length sleeves finish with deep turnback cuffs.  Sweater neckline and hem are finished with narrow knit bands.

Wear this a a cosy outer layer over a slimfit sweater or T-shirt.  Make this as a quick and easy way to dress up your favourite jeans, ponte pants, and wear as a dressy- casual day or low-key evening cover-up

Fabric requirements

Sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 (US sizing) need 2 1/4 yards or 206cms fabric.

Sizes 18-20-22-24-26 (US sizing) need 2 3/4 yards or 252 cms fabric.

If you're making the faux fur cowl you will need 1/2 yard or 46cm of faux fur.

All fabric amounts are for 60"/150cm wide fabric.

Suggested fabrics

This pattern is drafted for medium to lightweight knit fabrics, especially sweater or sweatshirt and double knits like ponte.  You can also try a lighter weight T-shirt fabric. 

Faux fur cowl (obviously!) need faux fur but we careful not to choose one that is too stiff.
