Liberty Lasenby Cotton - Craft Garden - Mary's Embroidery 01667454A
The Craft Garden collection whisks us back to the early 1900s, celebrating the remarkable artistry of designer, May Morris, daughter of the legendary William Morris. Inspired by her creative charisma and technical prowess, these poetic patterns capture the essence of the Arts & Crafts movement through her meticulously detailed embroideries. The designs, imbued with a sense of symmetry, movement, and flow, reflect the style that played a pivotal role in defining Liberty’s early history and securing its place as one of the design house’s most iconic design pillars.
Mary's Embroidery - The delicate blooms in this charming ditsy pattern were inspired by an embroidered bedspread created by May Morris in the early 1930s for her friend Mary Annie Sloane. Neatly arranged floral sprigs and stylised wreaths appear to dance together in a harmonious ensemble of colour and form.
The collection is traditionally screen printed onto Lasenby cotton, a base specifically developed for quilting and craft projects.
The width of this medium weight fabric is 112cm.
If a quarter metre of fabric is ordered the standard way of cutting will be as a Fat Quarter ie 50cm x 56 cm (half the width of the fabric) so that you receive a square shape rather than a long thin quarter metre.
If however you would prefer a Long quarter then please ask and then we can cut the fabric this way A long quarter would measure 25cm x 112cm (the full width of the fabric)
Not intended for Children's sleepwear.
