Sewaholic Rae Skirt - 1404
The Rae skirt is designed for true beginners. If you can work a sewing machine and follow directions, you can make this skirt!
Tasia developed this skirt in collaboration with a local sewing instructor, designed as a very first sewing project.
For practice with sewing and finishing seams, there are vertical seams along the front, back, and sides of the skirt. This creates a better fit and more flattering silhouette than a rectangle-shaped elastic skirt. The casing is cut as an extension of the skirt, so it's easy to sew. I've included helpful little details in the instructions to make it a nicely finished project and a good learning experience. Our instructions are always thorough, but the Rae Skirt instructions are even more detailed with clear diagrams.
View A is an above the knee skirt with a slightly full silhouette. View B is the same length as A but with more fullness, and View C is a knee-length version of view B.
The beginner-level sewing project you'll actually want to wear!
