Introducing the seventh pattern from Sewaholic - the Thurlow Trouser and Shorts pattern!
It's a great-fitting modern trouser pattern that also includes cuffed shorts. The fitted trousers and shorts feature front fly closure, slash front pockets and a back extension for easy alteration. The best part of the trousers is this extension at centre back (like men's suit pants) that allows for easy alterations even after the pants are completed. Trousers and shorts sit below the natural waistline with contoured waistband. View A trousers are slightly flared. View B shorts can be worn cuffed or straight, with an optional grosgrain ribbon belt. This is a sleek, modern fit that allows room for curves.
Skill level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate
Recommended Fabrics: Medium weight woven fabrics, such as denim, cotton twill, suiting and wool blends. Stretch wovens are also suitable. Lining: lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton batiste. Allow extra fabric to match plaids or stripes.
Notions: Thread, 1 1/4 yards of fusible interfacing, one 4" zipper, one hook and eye closure, one 3/4" button. Optional 2 yards of 2" wide grosgrain ribbon.
