Introducing the fourth pattern from Sewaholic Patterns! This weekend jacket features a wide collar, raglan sleeves and a flattering elastic waistline. Jacket is fully lined. Interior patch pockets have optional velcro closures. View A has a hidden hood inside the collar, View B has a regular stand collar.
As you know, Sewaholic patterns can be worn by anyone and are particularly suitable for pear-shapes.
Recommended Fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton twill or canvas, wool tweed, even velveteen! Patterned needlecord would be a great fabric choice as well - infact any light to medium weight woven fabric works with this pattern – as long as it’s not too heavy to be gathered. For lining: lining fabrics, or mesh.
Not suitable for plaids, stripes or one-way designs.
Notions: Thread, 2 yards of 2" elastic, 1 yard of fusible interfacing, 28" separating zipper (sizes 0-8) or 30" separating zipper (sizes 10-16). View A: 18" closed-end zipper. Optional: 2" piece of velcro.
