Pretty appliqued bags with an exotic Far-Eastern vibe, in homage to Shanghai Tang's fabulous east-meets-west designs. Roomy circular Tote and neat mini Hobo bags use a mix of rich fabric for the bodies and real or faux skins, or felt, for the appliques, with additional nail head & metal ring trim, and self straps.
Bags are versions of the classic tote so that are designed to be worn slouchy & open; however we have included patterns for an optional interior closure strap for the bags.
Both bags are lined and feature optional phone & zippered pockets and handbag feet.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Yardage Requirements: Tote needs around 1/2 yard each of 60" wide fabric, lining faux/real suede/leather. If you wish to interface or mount your bag, you will need the same amount of interfacing. Tote also required 1 x 12" zipper.
Hobo needs around 1/4 year each of 60" wide fabric, lining faux/real suede/leather. If you wish to interface or mount your bag, you will need the same amount of interfacing.
Both bags require 2 x 2" diameter rings; if you wish to have handbag feet on your bags, you willneeds 4 handbag feet for each bag.
All yardages are for 60” wide fabric.
