My first sales on E-bay

by Leah Taylor on August 4, 2009

My website is taking forever and a day to put together (I can’t blame the web designer – as that would be me!!) and I am building up quite a selection of pretty items just waiting to be sold to lovely new owners.

So I’ve decided to start selling a few bits of stock on E-bay, until my website is ready. I figure it will also be a good way to drive traffic to the shop once it launches properly, too.

I thought it would take me about half a day to get everything listed – I do tend to be rather optimistic!! A day and a half later I still only have a few things up, but oh what gorgeous things they are.

My favourite item is this stunning button, which evokes thoughts of Japanese cherry blossom gardens – dreamy days… and unsurprisingly 7 of these were the first things I sold! I love how unique and unusual the design is, yet because the colours are neutral it can add interest to pretty much any garment. I think I might use these paired up with some gorgeous wool I have, to make Sew Serendipity’s Coat pattern – I don’t have these patterns online yet but they’re coming!!

I also sold some John Kaldor fabric –

Unfortunately time is running out for posting items for sale, as I go on holiday on Saturday. So I won’t be posting any more items until I come back.

What do you think of the fabrics, patterns and buttons currently for sale? Please feel free to post a comment as I would love to hear what your favourites are!
