New Sewaholic Cordova Jacket pattern ….

Intoducing the 9th pattern from SewaholicThe Cordova Jacket

Launched today 26 November – in stock at Sewbox w/c 3 December latest

Cordova Jacket

It’s a fitted, lined jacket with a flattering peplum detail and a zip front closure.

An excerpt from Tasia’s blog of today ….. “I’ve created this pattern to fill the void between casual and formal jackets. We have the Minoru Jacket for a sporty look, now we have the Cordova Jacket for work, a dressy jacket that’s not a blazer. The collarless design not only means you don’t have to sew a collar, but it works well with cosy scarves and cowls. Princess seams make it easy to adjust the fit, and the double peplum creates an instant hourglass silhouette.  It’s great with jeans or trousers, equally great with a dress! I’ve modeled it with jeans and a simple tank to keep the focus on the jacket. I think it would be gorgeous with a pencil skirt or a dressy pair of Thurlow trousers!

This jacket would be great in all kinds of different fabrics! Wools, textured tweeds, corduroy or velveteen are perfect choices for fall. For a light spring jacket, look for a cotton twill, denim or linen”

The Cordova jacket patterns have already been shipped from Canada to the UK and are due in-stock w/c 3 December latest.  Reserve your copy now  – e-mail me on susan@sewbox.co.uk

I’m just starting my first “practice” Cordova and was hunting around for your sewalong for it but couldn’t locate it! Would you send me the link to that? I tried your link on the blog but it didn’t click anywhere (the link might have disconnected?). I’m excited about this jacket! I’m starting with a sort of brocade/denim purply blue and a pink light cotton that looks like a filled in eyelet. Once I’ve settled on the adjustments I have some gorgeous heavy white silk brocade left over from a wedding dress with a snazzy silk lining that I think will make an outstanding Cordova! 🙂
