What’s New at Sewbox?

New additions to the Serendipity Studio pattern range …

Sewbox has added new patterns  to the Serendipity Studio range.  Just out are the new Diane Kimono dress pattern and the new Betty June retro dress – both are must haves for the summer! Bright, colourful and fun.

The Diane Kimono dress is relaxed, carefree and super comfortable to wear.  This pattern can be made up in 5 variations in 4 lengths …. so super versatile.  Easy to make – it just slips over the head, so no need to worry about even putting a zip in.

Look cool and sophisticated in the Betty June Dress.  This is a retro design styled after the shirt-waist dressed of the 1940’s and 50’s … but with a fresh modern twist.  Can be made up in 4 variations …. so wear again and again.

Also new is the Camilla Insulated bag pattern. Just had to order for the website as it looks so much fun.  This super versatile pattern can be made up as a handbag, a tote or an insulated bag – each in 5 different sizes. Great for a lazy summer picnic to keep your food cool and fresh.

New additions to the Liberty Tana Lawn and the Liberty City Poplin cottons range of fabrics …

Due in any day now, are additions to the Liberty cottons fabrics.  These gorgeous light weight fabrics have sold so well this summer, no doubt due to the warm weather, that I felt it would be good to give Sewbox customers more choice.  Here is a brief preview … as I said, they should be showing as ‘in-stock’ on the website within the next 5-7 days.

A bit of a Bank Holiday break ….

Life has been so busy since taking over Sewbox 14 weeks ago … so decided to take a day out to help my friend extract honey from her beehives.  I have always wanted to have a go at this … and it was great fun.  We put on all the gear, collected the honey from the hives keeping calm so as not to annoy the hundreds of bees buzzing around us, extracted the honey using a very antiquated spinning machine that looked like it came from Downton Abbey!!  and eventually poured it off into several pre-sterlised jars.  It tastes divine!!!!!  A real experience –  thanks to a, b & b for teaching me so much, can’t wait til next time.

The bee-keeping outfits look great in white, but could not help thinking they would look good too in a Liberty print!!

Happy Bank holiday and happy sewing …

Wow, that Betty June dress pattern is gorgeous. If only I didn’t have so many projects on the go right now I’d buy that!

My Liberty fabric arrived today. Very quick – thank you! So thrilled with them and I’ve actually managed to find a fabric that my partner likes with the Green sunflower Liberty City Poplin fabric! Thanks again and the free elastic is much appreciated x
