Hello from the new hands ….

by Susan on February 21, 2011

Hi there …… and a very, very warm hello to all Sewbox current and future customers.

My name is Susan Stevenson,  and as you will see from the previous blog, I am taking over the reins of Sewbox as of today … this will allow the lovely Leah to spend precious and quality time with baby Eva.

A bit of background…
I have been passionate about beautiful fabrics, stylish clothes and sewing all of my life and since leaving a fulltime career 18 months ago, I have had both the time and opportunity to lavish my passion by enrolling as a student of Suffolk Sewing School.  Over the months,  I have greatly enhanced my sewing skills but even more importantly I have re-energised my love of creative sewing and making beautiful finished items.  It has been great fun  .. the sewing community are warm and friendly people, always sharing skills and new ideas.  I have made lasting friendships and it made me realise this is the place I want to be from now on

The next stage…
I am now raring to go, and want to progress to the next stage, focusing my time and energy on setting up an on-line business.  My aim is to source and bring together in one place,  different and exciting sewing related products.  When quite unexpectedly, through the friendly sewing networks,  the chance came up of Sewbox … it just seemed so right, such perfect timing and as if it was just meant to be!!

Leah has made an excellent job of creating and nuturing Sewbox to where it is today.  It is not my intention to change Sewbox but to grow and enhance the Site. As well as re-stocking exisiting lines we will be bringing additional, new and exciting fabrics and sewing products to the Site. Leah will quite rightly be concentrating on her beautiful daughter Eva, but she does not get off quite that lightly!!  She will be continuing to  help with her other ‘baby’ Sewbox  in an advisory capacity and also showing us her sewing skills with photos and reviews of the patterns she will be making up for us.

The exciting journey forward…
I sincerely hope you will continue on this exciting journey with  us… don’t forget ..  you are the customer, so please, please do let us have your input on what you actually want  Sewbox to provide.
